Office Design: Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) Administration Office Metropolis at Metrotown

The design concept for JLL’s relocated Administrative Office looks to the surrounding context of the Metrotown Urban Planning Plan that aims to transform the area into a vibrant, mixed-use neighborhood with residential density, expanded retail space, new public parks and improved pedestrian connectivity. The client required a dense floor plan of private offices which lent itself to the idea of an urban streetscape with streetscape corridors and building blocks bordering on greenspaces. The long corridors were broken up with planting niches, moss walls were layered and plants incorporated to help with greenery. Corridor views to the single wall of exterior windows were prioritized to bring as much natural light as deep into the space as possible and all offices have glass fronts for light with acoustic separations between for sound privacy.  The materials palette was guided by an urban language of concrete, graffiti and greenery.
